What is a Shootparty? A two-to-four-day photography event in an extraordinary location — a château, an abandoned castle, a designer villa, a picturesque scenery  a studio or a coastal house — with six to eight professional international models, a stylist and make-up artist, photographer assistance and optional tutoring. Photographers work in small groups and rotate through sets and locations. Shootparty has run events since 2015 in the Czech Republic, France, Spain, Croatia and Germany.

Do I need experience? Beginners and experienced photographers are equally welcome. For group events a basic understanding of your camera (exposure, focus, natural light) is expected; if you want guidance, add a Learn & Shoot tutoring session or book a private session, where the pace is yours.

What equipment should I bring? Your camera, the lenses you like for portraits (35–85 mm is the most used range), spare batteries and cards. Most locations are shot with natural light.

What is included in the price? Every event page lists it precisely. As an example, Shootparty Skyward includes two event shooting days, a private-session location on the arrival day, hotel accommodation with breakfast, dinners and lunches, drinks and snacks on location, transfers from Prague and a non-commercial model release. Not included: travel insurance, model fees for additional private sessions and extra food and drinks.

How much does it cost and how do I register? Group events are priced per photographer and depend on the ratio — one photographer per model (1:1) or two (2:1) — and the destination; Skyward 2026, for example, starts at €1,990. Register via the form linked on the event page; a 50% deposit confirms your seat and the balance is due before the event starts.

What are the cancellation terms? If you cancel, the deposit is not refundable unless we can fill your seat from the waiting list. If we cancel, the deposit is refunded in full. In case of force majeure the event is postponed and your deposit stays valid for the new date or another event.

How many photographers share a model? Group events run in groups of 1:1 or 2:1 (photographers per model); private sessions are always 1:1 unless you bring a partner.

What level of nudity is involved? Our models work from portrait and fashion up to artistic nude (nu’art). Nothing is compulsory for the photographer — you decide the concept with the model and the stylist.

What model release do I get? Every session includes a non-commercial model release: you may use the images for your portfolio, website, social media, exhibitions and competitions. Commercial use (advertising, stock, print sales) needs a separate agreement with the model, eventually the location owner.

Which languages are spoken? English is the working language; our models communicate in English, and tutors and crew also speak German, French and Czech.

Can I book a specific model or location privately? Yes — private Shootparties run on your dates. Send us your preferred dates, a link to your portfolio or website and the kind of images you want to make.
